Hello and thank you for stopping by!
I’m Anja Hunt, a Family photographer and a lover of beauty, simplicity and nostalgia. My body of work is inspired by the desire to photograph precious moments before they pass. I believe that every moment only takes place once and if we don’t capture it, it’s gone. My photographs enable families to relive those moments and prevent them from becoming faded memories.
My art is the result of training, passion and aspiration to perfect the craft. My images capture a genuine essence of my subjects, while my natural, clean and clear edits produce an authentic representation, without adding unnecessary enhancements.
I encourage clients to feel comfortable and confident while in front of my camera. Sometimes we postpone professional photography because we are waiting to have just the right weight, look, hairstyle, or already feel as though we are too old and tired. Please know that I find beauty in all people and take pride in the fact that I help encapsulate your cherished family moments for the next generation to look back on.
I’m a native of East Germany, but my photography pursuits began in 2010 when taking classes from an artist in Hawaii. I have since trained with Sue Bryce, Kelly Brown, Marc Wallace, Phlearn, Scott Robert Lim, Michele Celanto, Eric Condette, Jinky Arts, Peter Olsen, Damien Symonds, and many more.
In 2013, I launched Anja Hunt Photography with a studio in Taunusstein (near Wiesbaden) and produce unique family, maternity, newborn and children’s portraits. “You don’t make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved.”
